This is the new alignment of the National Football League into local regional divisions patterned off of my idea for the new Major League Baseball. Every NFL team will play each team in their local division twice in a regular season, once at home and once on the road. Also each NFL team will play ten other games in a regular season, five games on the road and five games at home for a total of sixteen regular season games in an NFL season. The six NFC teams with the best win/lost record at the end of the regular season will play in the NFC playoffs ranked from the first seed to the sixth seed in order. The six AFC teams with the best win/lost record at the end of the regular season will play in the AFC playoffs ranked from the first seed to the sixth seed in order. The first round of the playoffs will be for the wild-card games between the fourth seed versus the fifth seed and the third seed versus the sixth seed in each respected conference. That would be followed by the second round playoff games then the Conference Championship Game with the winners advancing to the NFL Super-Bowl which will feature the NFC Champion versus the AFC Champion. Just like with the new MLB, NFL fans will enjoy regional football games with the advantage of traveling with their home team to away games within the region of their local division. This will make NFL football even more exciting giving it kind of a college football atmosphere and feel to the game. Lets Make The National Football League Great Again! Amen! I'll stand for that.
The NFL Pro Bowl Game will continue to be the best players from the National Football Conference versus the best players from the American Football Conference. The NFL Pro Bowl should be rescheduled to be played a week to three weeks after the NFL Super Bowl to allow the Pro Bowl selected players that play in the Super Bowl Game the chance to play in the Pro Bowl Game. The NFL Pro Bowl Game should also be returned to the state of Hawaii for football fans there to get the chance to enjoy an NFL game watching their favorite NFL players in person. This would also give NFL Pro Bowl selected players a rewarded vacation outside of the continental united states of America.
Also, the Washington D.C. NFL Franchise will have a new name in the future. Three ideas that I have for that new team name are the REDS, the PIGSKINS or the GENERALS. Using the name Reds or Pigskins for the Washington D.C. NFL franchise would allow the team to keep the same team colors only change their logo to a pigskin football. If the team decides to use the name Generals then they could change the team colors to solid army green helmets & jerseys with solid desert sand pants and alternate uniforms featuring military jungle camouflage helmets, jerseys & pants and military desert camouflage helmets, jerseys & pants.
Here is another possible alignment of NFL teams that will feature four local region Inter-Conferences without divisions and eight teams in every conference playing each team in their respected conference twice in a NFL regular season, once at home and once on the road:
